Alberto Tamayo, M.D.
Dr. Tamayo is a proud Spartan through and through! With a B.S. in Clinical Laboratory Sciences, an M.D. from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, and residency training at MSU, he brings a wealth of expertise and passion to MOOD. Mental Health.
Dr. Tamayo is thrilled to be part of a team that blends timeless wisdom with cutting-edge, evidence-based treatments to bring a new generation of mental health care to the area.
By blending expert psychopharmacology with humanistic psychotherapy, he is dedicated to not just helping clients overcome their individual challenges but fostering wellness that lasts a lifetime.
When not at work, you’ll find Dr. Tamayo enjoying Michigan’s natural beauty—hiking, diving into great books, or cheering on his favorite sports teams, and he is our “hometown hero.”
Nurse Practitioner
Morgan George, PMHNP-C
Morgan is a passionate and dedicated board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over six years of experience in the nursing field. Having worked extensively in inpatient psychiatric care, she brings a wealth of hands-on knowledge and a heartfelt commitment to her patients' mental health and wellness. As an expertly trained MOOD. Mental Health PMHNP, Morgan is excited to partner with individuals on their journey to improved mental health, helping them enhance their quality of life and reach their full potential.
Outside of work, Morgan loves connecting with nature. Whether hiking through picturesque trails, tending to her garden, or traveling to breathtaking scenic destinations, she is always inspired by the beauty of the world around her. Morgan looks forward to making a positive impact and walking alongside patients on their paths to wellness.

Jose Herrera, M.D., ABPN-C
Dr. Jose Herrera is a dedicated psychiatrist who graduated with his M.D. from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and completed his residency at MSU. With over a decade as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at MSU, Dr. Herrera specializes in inpatient and outpatient care, correctional psychiatry, sports psychiatry, and addiction medicine. He is excited be with MOOD. Mental Health as the next generation of mental health services, focused on transforming lives and advancing the field of psychiatry.
Outside of work, Dr. Herrera enjoys traveling the U.S., live music and the arts.
MOOD Associate / Medical Assistant
Jolie Rish
Jolie holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and has hands-on experience in mental health care, having worked as a psychiatric technician in an inpatient mental health hospital. Her passion for understanding how the brain works and her commitment to making a difference in people's lives drive her work at MOOD. Jolie finds joy in helping others and is excited to bring her compassion and expertise to the team.
Outside of work, she loves reading, spending time with her family, and expressing her creativity through cooking and baking.

Debbie Kolk
Debbie brings over 36 years of experience in healthcare to MOOD. Mental Health. After retiring from a long and successful career at Michigan State University's West Fee Clinic, she joined MOOD. Mental Health to continue her passion for supporting mental health services in the Greater Lansing area. Debbie loves working in the psychiatry field and is dedicated to helping expand access to innovative and compassionate care.
When she’s not at work, you can find Debbie enjoying time at the casino, shopping with her sister, or doting on her two chihuahuas, Alvin and Theodore.
